The first time I met Patricia I was overwhelmed with her passion for the people of Birmingham and her desire to help those who are struggling to get into work. She is a complete force of nature and I have never met anyone like her in my 40 years experience in business. Her energy and her enthusiasm for Suited for Success and the work it does in the community was boundless and
infectious.

What is clear with Patricia is that as well as being driven by deep compassion and a desire to help at an individual level, she is also driven to deliver strategic vision to build communities and to create social value for the Birmingham area and for the country as a whole. I have seen this implemented and delivered in numerous projects over the last 3 years.

Patricia personified the values, ethos and mission of the charity she created - Suited for Success. She has a clarity of purpose and vision that, in my experience, is rare to see in leaders of large commercial organisations, let alone small charities and she eats, sleeps and breathes her work.

 

In the three years I have known her, I am struck by her devotion and her endless energy. She would always be telling me about the clients she had supported, the individual successes she had achieved, the amazing results she had have delivered through Suited for Success, the potential donors and supporters that she had met with and the exciting ideas she had for projects and future
developments. She was always looking for improvements to the service offered and always looking to try and help more people, in more ways, whilst keeping the ethos and core offering of the charity in mind. 

It was therefore no surprise to me that, in January 2025 Patricia was awarded an MBE for services to charity in the King’s new year honours. A great and thoroughly deserved honour for her work.
